The Galena House , still family owned. Brighter, same great food, Breakfast is Awesome. The Small Big Bird skillet was an absolute delight. Been back a couple times to check out more menu items. Nothing but great food and wonderful Service.

The new Mom's in Dixon. Excellent on all fronts. Ordered the New York Strip and Mom's Steak. Both top notch. Best steaks I've had in a long time. Bar area has a classic high end restaurant atmosphere. Wonderful cheerful bar tender going out of her way to serve the customers. And yes, they have not lost a step for breakfast and brunch.

Food, service and atmosphere was great! Highly recommended MOM'S when you're passing through the area and want a nice sit down family style restaurant with a variety of menu items that are reasonably priced.

What can I say... this is such a great place where the exterior doesn't due the interior justice. Upon arriving, we were met with nothing special on the outside besides the name of the facility and a double door to go through. However, once inside... beautiful dark woods are uniquely placed to enhance the warm feeling and atmosphere. Beautiful bar and lovely tables and booths for which we all sat at comfortably. I chose the prime rib special with baked potatoe, my wife had the fried cod with twice baked potatoe, and our friends both chose the chicken strios with ribs and a side of garlic mashed potatoes. All the dinners came with the salad bar, which was fantastic. I also had a "Dad's" old fashion, which hit t he spot. The meal was slightly on the expensive side. However, I believe it worth every penny. Yum..

Eggsellent service for breakfast, I had the eggs Benedict, my son had an omelette. The food was hot and delivered quick. Prices were a bit high, but the quality of the food was worth it.

Our first time eating at moms the restaurant environment was calming and beautiful clean well kept staff was so friendly no wait on the food. We got biscuits and gravy and it was out of this world delicious. We got to meet the owner who is an awesome guy. Feels like family when you eat here!!!

I was so disappointed when I heard that the Galena Steak House was closing, but I was so happy to hear that we were getting a new restaurant in it’s place and they did not disappoint! Pictured is the steak skillet, mom’s Florentine eggs Benedict, and a classic ham eggs and hash browns. The food was great and portions were too! Our waitress was super nice when she came around and we enjoyed being in the revamped space. They replaced all of the seating with nice black leather booths and we got the pleasure of sitting in a circle corner one. Super stylish and super comfy. Food was a bit more pricy than others and the wait was a little longer, but we will be back!

“Delicious food and an awesome first visit! I tried their steak, and it was absolutely fantastic—cooked to perfection. The fries were a standout too, staying perfectly crispy even after 15 minutes. Everything about the meal exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!”
